It's just another school morning...until Mom, Dad, Grandma, and even Bow-wow the dog BEG the kids to let them come to school, too! Dad can tie his own shoes--why can't he come? Mom is all ready with her brand-new backpack--she's allowed, right? No! Only kids and teachers! 

Sorry, Grow-Ups will be available in July, 2019. Just in time for “back-to-SCHOOL”.

Ready to begin the final artwork. Sketches are taped to the drawing board. A lot of work, ahead.

The underpaintings, done in acrylic will be covered with full color oil paints. Magic!

Now, we’re getting somewhere! They’re starting to look more finished…but, still much more to paint.

Membership into the MPSGS

In February, I was invited to become a member of the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, D.C. The MPSGS was founded in 1931 and is the oldest Miniature art Society in the U.S. It is the second oldest in the world next to the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers in London, England. The object of the society is “to encourage and stimulate public interest in art in miniature”.

I have been entering miniature paintings for the annual exhibition for the last several years and have several awards from that show. I am honored to be included in the membership with other quality miniature painters.

Rappy's Back!

Rappy the Raptor is a series of books, written by Dan Gutman. I recently completed the illustrations for the sixth (fourth leveled reader) Rappy story. Rappy and His Favorite Things will be available in April, 2019. Here are some pics of the art in progress.
